{"id":121,"date":"2007-10-28T11:14:15","date_gmt":"2007-10-28T16:14:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.angelsdesk.com\/angel\/blog\/?p=121"},"modified":"2008-03-16T14:49:54","modified_gmt":"2008-03-16T19:49:54","slug":"for-everything-there-is-a-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.angelsdesk.com\/?p=121","title":{"rendered":"For everything there is a season&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"photo_v\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.angelsdesk.com\/photos\/2007\/10\/fixing_toys_28Oct2007.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nLily and Daddy fixing one of Lily&#8217;s toys.<br \/>\n(You can see Lily&#8217;s sunburn that she got<br \/>\nduring the Fall Festival at Logan&#8217;s elementary school yesterday.)<br \/>\n28 October 2007<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been missing a lot of my former hobbies recently&#8230; well, actually I&#8217;ve been missing my current hobbies as well.\u00c2\u00a0 We haven&#8217;t had time to do anything except take care of children and keep the kitchen and laundry clean (the rest of the house has gone to sh*t).<\/p>\n<p>What I&#8217;ve been missing:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Playing video games (in particular, playing EverQuest with Matt until all hours of the morning)<\/li>\n<li>Learning Japanese<\/li>\n<li>Having manga laying all about the place<\/li>\n<li>Snuggle lie-ins with the hubby<\/li>\n<li>And innumerable other things that come with being young, in-love, and child-free<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But I know that, in a few years, my list of things that\u00c2\u00a0I miss will look like this:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nursing my children<\/li>\n<li>The children&#8217;s very cute and inventive use of language as they learn (ie. Lily currently says, in her very cute little girl voice, &#8220;Look what my did.&#8221;)<\/li>\n<li>Snuggling next to a warm, cute baby<\/li>\n<li>And innumerable other things that come with having small children<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And then I will have time to learn Japanese again and play video games and snuggle with the husband again, but I&#8217;ll miss all the wonderful things that came with having small children.\u00c2\u00a0 I try to remind myself of this fact when I&#8217;m longing for the things that I just don&#8217;t have the time for now.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lily and Daddy fixing one of Lily&#8217;s toys.
