I’m looking for time.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m looking for precious nuggets of time — trying to mine them from my scheduled day of childcare and house cleaning.\u00c2\u00a0 And with these mined treasures, I want to create.\u00c2\u00a0 I want to sew and write and podcast.<\/p>\n

As a parent of preschool children,\u00c2\u00a0time becomes precious because it has become so\u00c2\u00a0scarce — the whole supply and demand concept working within a family unit.\u00c2\u00a0 You have to search not only for time for yourself, but time to be with your spouse as well.\u00c2\u00a0 You feel like a supporting character in the cast of your own life.<\/p>\n

Matt and I have decided to go out on a date once a month.\u00c2\u00a0 We had so much fun being out with each other the other night — and it revitalized our marriage which revitalizes our family –\u00c2\u00a0so we want to have regular dates, to connect as two adults in love.<\/p>\n

It’s a weird and difficult balancing act as a parent.\u00c2\u00a0 You have to nurture the children, yourself, and your relationship with your spouse.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve been a parent for three years now and I’m still figuring it out… and I’m still trying to find the time to fit it all in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
