\nIt snowed in Lincoln this morning;
\nGrannie and Grandpa took turns
\nholding Damian while Lily played
\nin the snow.
\n03 January 2008<\/p>\n

We have two days left in England, and then we spend all day Sunday travelling back to Austin.\u00c2\u00a0 Tomorrow we go to see the Panto<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m really looking forward to it after hearing so many stories from Matt of\u00c2\u00a0going to see the Panto as a child.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s also nice that he is sharing this tradition with his own children.\u00c2\u00a0 I am a little worried because I have worked it up so much in my mind.\u00c2\u00a0 Hopefully the event can live up to the anticipation.<\/p>\n

In four days we’ll be back home, and that’s when it will feel like the New Year will begin.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m still in holiday limbo at the moment where neither time nor calories actually occur.\u00c2\u00a0 The New Year is a big deal for me — it always feels joyful because I am so excited and hopeful.\u00c2\u00a0 I’ve got plans<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 I always have plans, but, at the New Year, my plans seem gold-plated and full of promise.<\/p>\n

Plans<\/em>.\u00c2\u00a0 I love plans.\u00c2\u00a0 I love visions of an exciting and passionate\u00c2\u00a0possible future.\u00c2\u00a0 That’s what the New Year is:\u00c2\u00a0 it’s hope and redemption.\u00c2\u00a0 The redemption\u00c2\u00a0does not come\u00c2\u00a0into play so much for me anymore; I find redemption by other means.\u00c2\u00a0 One day I may blog on that.\u00c2\u00a0 In fact, I had a dream about it recently.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe I’ll post the dream; it was very interesting.<\/p>\n

Anyways,\u00c2\u00a0 hope and excitement are definitely part of the New Year for me.\u00c2\u00a0 And it all starts in four days upon our return to Austin. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
