{"id":269,"date":"2008-08-04T08:17:35","date_gmt":"2008-08-04T13:17:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.angelsdesk.com\/angel\/blog\/?p=269"},"modified":"2008-08-04T08:37:03","modified_gmt":"2008-08-04T13:37:03","slug":"paradise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.angelsdesk.com\/?p=269","title":{"rendered":"Paradise"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"photo_v\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.angelsdesk.com\/photos\/2008\/08\/St_Pauls_18June2008.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><br \/>\nLindsey in London with St Paul&#8217;s Cathedral in the distance.<br \/>\n18 June 2008<\/p>\n<p>Matt&#8217;s dad, Damian,\u00c2\u00a0took Lindsey and I to London, and we had a really nice day.\u00c2\u00a0 While there, we went to the top of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/St_Paul%27s_Cathedral\">St Paul&#8217;s Cathedral<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 Before we climbed to the top, Lindsey warned us that she was afraid of heights.\u00c2\u00a0 Since neither Damian nor I are afraid of heights and have no experience with that fear, we both kind of muttered &#8220;Okay&#8221; and promptly ignored what she said.\u00c2\u00a0 As we climbed higher and higher, she became more agitated.\u00c2\u00a0 Damian and I continued to think everything was fine because we were fine.<\/p>\n<p>At the top, she was still masking her fear very well.\u00c2\u00a0 She was nervous, but not immobilized, so I continued to dismiss her feelings.\u00c2\u00a0 It wasn&#8217;t until we were descending the steep spiral\u00c2\u00a0stairs and she was looking down a deep well with every step\u00c2\u00a0that her mask fell and her true fear of heights became undeniably obvious.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0And it finally got through my thick skull: Lindsey is afraid of heights;
