We’ve been to\u00c2\u00a0Dad and Donna’s\u00c2\u00a0lakehouse in Conroe twice recently, and both times we had so much fun.\u00c2\u00a0 There are two things I like about\u00c2\u00a0Dad and Donna’s\u00c2\u00a0lakehouse: 1)\u00c2\u00a0A house on the\u00c2\u00a0water is very calming.\u00c2\u00a0 When I nurse my son, my whole body relaxes, the world disappears, and the universe is just me and him snuggled together on the bed, sharing a moment of love.\u00c2\u00a0 I get a similar feeling when I’m in a house where all the windows\u00c2\u00a0look out onto water.\u00c2\u00a0 My whole body relaxes and everything resolves into peace.<\/p>\n

And: 2) The jetskis are a lot<\/em> of fun.\u00c2\u00a0 I don’t hotdog around or anything.\u00c2\u00a0 I just put-put along with Lily, and we enjoy the ride.\u00c2\u00a0 Everybody in the family seems to really enjoy the jetskis, whether they are zooming or put-putting.<\/p>\n

So I was on realtor.com<\/a>, fantasizing.\u00c2\u00a0 I was surfing waterfront properties in Austin.\u00c2\u00a0 The prices, of course, were exorbitant… way beyond anything Matt and I can afford.\u00c2\u00a0 That is what made it fantasizing, dreaming about the future and what could be.<\/p>\n

And then, while I was surfing waterfront homes,\u00c2\u00a0this picture showed up on my Google\u00c2\u00a0Desktop Photos\u00c2\u00a0gadget:<\/p>\n

And in an instant, I realized that I already have everything that I want in this house right now. I realized that what is most important to me — what makes me happy and grateful to be alive — is\u00c2\u00a0being with the people I love.\u00c2\u00a0 And if we happen to be\u00c2\u00a0at a\u00c2\u00a0lakehouse together, well… that’s just a nice perk. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

(I still hope to have a lakehouse one day though.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0Dreams are the seeds of the future.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
