No picture with this post because we are in England right now.\u00c2\u00a0 I didn’t bring my camera with me and I am seriously regretting that decision now.<\/p>\n
We came for Matt’s grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary.\u00c2\u00a0 The party was yesterday, and it was very nice.\u00c2\u00a0 I really like Matt’s family — a lot.\u00c2\u00a0 They are quirky and fun and silly and they all love each other very much.\u00c2\u00a0 I have a very good time when we come to England.<\/p>\n
And my children are doted upon.\u00c2\u00a0 They are snuggled and kissed and everyone plays with them.\u00c2\u00a0 As a parent, there is nothing in the whole wide world that makes you happier than seeing your children loved.<\/p>\n
And it’s chilly!\u00c2\u00a0 Isn’t that completely whacky?!\u00c2\u00a0 It’s July!\u00c2\u00a0 I was dumbfounded.\u00c2\u00a0 I didn’t bring warm clothes because… well, because it’s July.\u00c2\u00a0 I didn’t even think it was possible to be chilly in July.<\/p>\n
I really like England.\u00c2\u00a0 I would have no problem moving here.\u00c2\u00a0 I like the way the cities are organized; cars are not used nearly as much — a lot more walking and public transportation –\u00c2\u00a0which gives the cities a sense of community because everyone is on the streets.\u00c2\u00a0 In Texas, all the cities are designed around cars, so the streets are empty.\u00c2\u00a0 I know why this is: we have the room for the sprawl and the\u00c2\u00a0heat is prohibitive.\u00c2\u00a0 But designing a city around walking and public transportation gives the city a much more pleasant feel.<\/p>\n
I also like the weather which is funny because the English are always complaining about their weather.\u00c2\u00a0 But Texas is just so hot, and the heat is very oppressive.\u00c2\u00a0 The heat drains your energy, and you don’t want to go outside.<\/p>\n
Anyways, we’re having a great time. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

The house was beautiful by the time my mom arrived.\u00c2\u00a0 It was really important to me that the house be clean for my mom.\u00c2\u00a0 I want my mom to feel comfortable in my house — to actually enjoy coming to my house because the house itself feels inviting and pleasing.<\/p>\n
And, just in general, I’m in a much better mood when the house is clean.\u00c2\u00a0 Matt was such a sweety to work so hard to make the house clean for my mom.\u00c2\u00a0 He\u00c2\u00a0would put in a full day at work and then, when he got home, he\u00c2\u00a0would work really hard with me to get the house clean.\u00c2\u00a0 And he did all this because he knew I really really<\/em> wanted the house clean for my mom.\u00c2\u00a0 He’s such an excellent husband.\u00c2\u00a0 I truly am lucky to have him.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" No picture with this post because we are in England right now.\u00c2\u00a0 I didn’t bring my camera with me and I am seriously regretting that decision now.
